UK – Day 1: A bloody long trip

Headphones and toothpaste? Can they do that?

Its full of people!

Its full of people!

So today I flew to London for the holidays. Unlike most of my trips, I actually was packed and ready over an hour before my ride showed up. Took the cab to the shuttle which then took me to Phoenix for my direct British Airways flight to London Heathrow. Before I boarded the plane, I had my last burger before I head to the land of delicious but somewhat scary food, for those who are not familiar with it, or those who don’t care for it…

Even though its early in the month, the plane was full. Direct from Phoenix meant a 10 hour flight and losing 7 hours. I do love the entertainment centre though. Hangover part 3? Bring it on. There was a little pack of goodies with headphones and toothpaste and other crap I would invariably leave behind. Plus the obligatory thin blanket that just insists on slipping down between the armrest and the window, never to be seen again.

The steward asked if I wanted chicken or beef. I told him chicken and got a chicken curry. Yup, this is a flight going to England! Actually pretty good food and as it was late, I fell asleep shortly after din-dins. Half way through the Hangover pt 3. Sure glad I didn’t pay to see that one.
